Good Mancat Monday morning everyone, from me, Moe. Hope this week will turn out good for all of you.
Now, I need to ask a favor. Our pal, Eric in Devon, England, is not doing so well. He needs our healing thoughts and purrayers. So lets all get together on this and let's hope for good news soon!
Update: - RIP Eric.....our hearts are broken, he was our friend since we started blogging in 2007. We will miss him so much. Our condolences to his brofur Flynn and his mom and dad.
I am Mindy an indoor cat and I am a senior grey and white bi-color tabby girl. This is my blog which I write with help from my human. In September of last year, 2017, sadly Mike crossed the Rainbow Bridge to join his brothers aka 'brofurs'....Cookie, Moe, BonBon and Skie. They will all exist in our hearts now and always. I hope you will continue to follow these blogging stories from "Team Tabby" with me and remembering those who came before.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day
It's me, Mike. I just want to wish everybody a wonderful Saint Patrick's Day (Lá Fhéile Pádraig) today! I got dressed for the occasion, too. See my shamrock bow tie? St. Patrick used the shamrock in his teachings, so green is associated with March 17th.
I am going to celebrate this day by singing,
This is a new flavor, however I do not even need to think about it, I'll just dive right in. It is sure to be a good flavor, right? The bag is green after all.....unless that means natural...um, who cares?
Have a great day!

The Saturday PhotoHunt - footprints
Hi everyone, ... Mindy here, hosting our blog today.
We are participating in the Saturday PhotoHunt this weekend and the theme is - footprints. Therefore, on with our entry........
We looked through our recent photos for footprints, and this is what we found, taken last month:
These are technically 'hoof' prints. Best guess is, that these were made by a White Tailed Deer.
Next photo is:
......a complete mystery. Any guesses?
Now these next two photos are bonus photos of, not footprints, but teeth marks so not exactly part of PhotoHunt, but hope you might find them interesting anyway. These were taken the same day as the above 'footprints':
Look closely and you will see the marks of a beaver's teeth. This is how a beaver fells a tree, by gnawing on usually birch, aspen, or poplar! Their favorite part is the 'underbark' which they find tasty.
Here is another example:
The beaver uses the branches and trunk of the fallen tree to build a dam across a stream to create a pond to live in.
Beavers are protected where we live, and only under very specific conditions can anyone interfere with the dams they have built.
Visit The Saturday PhotoHunt to see other participants.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Wha' Happened!
Yesterday, we enjoyed such a beautiful day. It was sunny and warm, - for March in Atlantic Canada, at 8C - and no snow on the ground.
Today different story, just look.
What happened to our sunshine and warmth?
There is only one way to deal with this situation. Take a nice long nap!
Cookie: Here's my favorite napping spot - the chair in the office. Best spot ever.
Mindy: I'm on the bed. No one is allowed to make this bed until I am finished with my nap.
Mike: Thanks for sharing the bed with me Mindy, I get to put my fur all over this robe someone placed here for me, how thoughtful.
Moe: I can't sleep, this weather is making me hungry. I need to search for a snack.
Here's what I'm looking for.
No matter where the Temptations are hidden, I can find them!
Moe: Our mombean is taking a coffee break and using the nice china mug we won in one of the Cat Blogosphere auctions - it was donated by Ginger Jasper . The writing on the mug says " cats are acutely aware that you cannot live without them"!! Yep, it is very true.
Mombean do you want some Temptations to go along with your coffee? I will share.

Mombean is Home
We are very happy kitties! Our mombean returned home after long time away. It was like a bazillion years.
Mombean: "It was only a few weeks. I was helping Grandbean recover from her broken hip. Dadbean took good care of you. You all look healthy and well fed, but I guess you missed your extra snacks?"
Um, yep, Dadbean doesn't weaken and give in on those treats. We are glad things are back to normal.
Moe: I am so liking 'back to normal'.
Mindy: I missed those wonderful tummy rubs mombean gives me. I purred extra loud when she got home.
Cookie: I spent a long time in mombean's lap, I am glad she is home again.
Mike: See how nicely I am posing for mombean. I gave her lots and lots of extra sandpaper kisses.
Mombean: I was overwhelmed with the big welcome all of you kitties gave me. I missed all of you and Dadbean too - it is so good to be home! So sorry I wasn't able to help you kitties with the blog while I was away, we have lots of visiting and catching up to do.

A Cat in Martinique
We told our 'beans to take note of any cats they saw on their travels. For once our mombean listened!
She sent us photos of this very pretty kitty.
It lives on the Caribbean island of Martinique.
When their taxi stopped so they could get photos, this kitty appeared out of nowhere. It obviously is friends with the driver that drove the 'beans taxi, because he shared his lunch.
Yay, they both enjoyed something very delicious!!
Looks like the kitty would like a second helping of something yummy. We think that man is a great guy for sharing, don't you think so too?

We are continuing to send our love, purrs and prayers to our grandbean as she faces surgery for a broken hip today.

Still Waiting and Waiting
Our 'beans have been gone for a bazillon days! Good thing our Auntie Bean loves us enough to come and take care of us.
Yep, and our furcousins are generous enough to share their mombean with us. Aren't they generous?
We are hoping our friends remember us and haven't forgotten who we are and what we look like! We are way overdue for a post. We will look around for some photos to show you. See you all again, when we get back to 'normal'.
Sometimes I even have to get my own treats!!!!
Update, our 'beans are on their way home because grandbean is in hospital with a broken hip and needs to have surgery. We need some purrs for our granbean.

Seven Things About Us
We received this badge from Nerissa! She says that we need to tell everyone seven things about us. Okay, I think we can narrow things down to seven!
Seven Things About Us
1. We are all rescues - Moe first, then Mindy and that was 11 yrs ago now. Later Cookie and Mike needed homes so they moved in, they are both older than M & M.
2. We are all tabby cats. Mindy and Mike are bicolor tabbies, both have white faces and fronts, like formal wear.
Cookie has a white shirt and gloves.
Moe wears orange pajamas.
3. All of us play THOE because we have a set of stairs to run up and down. Our beans don't like hearing the thunderin' herd of elephants game at night though, but that is when the games is fun for us.
4.bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb-huh?..... um, Mindy, nice try but we are not sure what your typing is supposed to mean - you need to wait for help with your typing from mombean.
Mindy: Yes, I love mombean and right now I am sitting in her lap along with the laptop. Oh, I purr loud when I am happy, can you hear me?
5. All of us are proven mouse hunters except for Cookie.
Cookie: Ahem! I have almost no sight in my eyes to catch those varmints but I get by and still go up and downstairs and outside on the deck and none of you gets to go out on the deck like me!!!
6. Addicted to eating - all of us! Special treats of any flavor of Temptations - there are never enough of these delicious treats. Our beans have stashed them somewhere and we need to find them.
7a. One more thing - our 'beans don't know it, but WE run things around here and please, please don't tell them otherwise - OK?
7b. We hate that 'flashy box' such an annoying contraption that our mombean seems addicted to. It seems just when we are finding a snnoozy spot or the litter box, there she is armed and annoying with flashbox in hand.
That's 7 things, right? Are we close? Did you keep count Mike? Where IS Mike when you need him~!!
Now we want to pass this award on to anyone willing to divulge seven things about themselves.
We are sure there are things we didn't know about you dear visitor!

Mindy says:
The intrepid reporters at Jans Funny Farm have featured us in their column over at Mousebreath Magazine! We feel very honored to have been selected for this interview. They are skilled interviewers and have artfully managed to extract, we hope, some interesting and entertaining facts - about us.

Sleep-in Wednesday
Yes, we are all seeking a comfy spot to spend today because it is damp and cool due to the rain we are getting. Not many birds are coming to our feeder today, so we will have to entertain you with what is going on inside our domain.
First, we want to show you a photo mombean took last Friday night in our city. She was on the pedway looking down into the street and saw the seasonal street lights that look like lanterns and wants to share with everyone.
The building on the right is city hall and is undergoing a 'make over' - mombean says that means it is getting sandblasted to make the stonework fresh and clean. Glad we don't get that treatment!! We can keep ourselves very clean all by ourselves.
Mike: I am not quite at my best today because I have scratches on my nose.
Moe: Well, Mike, if you would share the nap spots and not try to hog the snacks, maybe we wouldn't have to whap you!!
(Moe glaring at Mike)
We want to show you the peppermint patties mombean made for a Christmas Tea - they look nice, but trust us there is NO tuna in any of those treats!
Here is a nutcracker guard, but his drum is bigger than he is!
Next we'll show you two of the (breakable) snowmen - #1
and #2

Mombean helped decorate with her wallhangings and said they were sold out of tickets for this event
We are good kitties, we took care of things at home and tried not to get into trouble.
We will show you some of the Christmas 'breakables' that our mombean has put around our house........
Next we'll show you two of the (breakable) snowmen - #1
and #2
- this snowman has funny shaped holes in it because a lit candle is supposed to go in behind and candlelight shines through. Of course, we don't have anything to do with lighting the candle!! No, never!
Mombean couldn't get photos of Mindy and Cookie, they are upstairs somewhere, probably in a comfy spot but with ears tuned in case a snack is served.
We want to say "Happy Retirement" to dadbean, his last day at work was Thursday, last week.
At the moment is out having lunch with some of his former colleagues - this once we'll allow it, but he's got to remember to save time for us, we're very important!!
