Photo Hunt - Small

Photo Hunters
It's getting close to Christmas. This is the centerpiece on the dining room table. There are "small" lights amongst the greenery.

We cats are very curious beings. One of us, we're not saying which one of us, tasted the fresh pine needles. Oops, bad idea, one of us....again not saying who......yacked up under the dinning room table....hee, hee.

In our living room there is a glass hurricane lamp, which is high up on the top shelf.......we could reach it, but naw, we didn't bother. However, it has small colored lights that look nice when the overhead lights are turned out.

It's starting to look quite festive around here.

Casual Friday

Yep, it's dress down Friday. Mind if we don't have every fur hair in place? Well, maybe I'll spiff up just a bit.

Oh, we're still gonna patrol the premises as usual, I mean we has a job to do and it's important! See, I'm keeping a check on what's happening outside this window.

And I'm on duty too. My shift started before sunup. I was also in charge of getting mom to get us breakfast. Mom was such a grouch even tho I waited until 5:30 am.

Yeah, it's kinda early, I think I needs just a bit more beauty sleep....Moe can take over for a while.

Our Christmas Tree

Yesterday, our beans put up our Christmas Tree. It is nothing like the one we had last Christmas!!

For one thing it isn't standing in a dish of water. We always like to drink the water under the tree.

I tried smelling and biting the new tree. Yuck, it doesn't smell or taste like our old trees...

I think it's a fake!

I think you're right, Mindy. Do you think we can climb it? I mean, it looks a bit iffy. Let's discuss it. oh, one more thing, the lights are nice and all that but somethin's missing - Mindy don't you think that our beans are supposed to put ornaments on this tree? That's what they did last year.

Mancat Monday

Moe - keeping watch

....Update.....
Some cats have been asking what I am looking at so intently. Well, this morning mom heard a loud 'bang'. It sounded like something hit our window. We both went to check. This is what we saw.

Our storm window was broken, so we think the dove was trying desperately to get away from the hawk and accidentally ran into our window. After that, it was an easy opportunity for the hawk. Soon after we got the picture, the hawk flew off with its 'catch'. Mom figures it is either a Sharp-shinned Hawk or a Merlin - they are both about the size of a Blue Jay.
