April Fools day 2008

The first day of April is called April Fools Day for some reason. We hopes it will be a nice day fur efurryone. We started our day wif snow then fog/rain. We saw our first real signs of Spring yesterday! Do you know what these are?

Well, we weren't sure, mom says they are snowdrops. Something she planted back in the fall.

We has another picture of some blue flowers. Gosh, they look barely alive.

OK, mom helped us out on these. They are pulmonaria (lungwort). Some flowers will be pink on the same plant. Sometimes they are called 'William and Mary'. Oh, the green leaves in da picture - creeping buttercup. It gets all through mom's garden.

Moe: Mom, enough horticulture for today...... (yawn)

......way too much information, my brain is shutting down, I needs instead to concentrate on patrolling da house and watching for introoders timing meal breaks.

There, that's better. I am back doing my important job napping keeping watch.

Mindy: Well I will file away all those impawtent facks about spring flowers (deep) in my girlcat brain (way, way deep, ha, ha) , but....

......I don't expect that knowledge to ever be all that useful to me......oh, ummm, don't bother to mention this to mom, okay? We are very good at looking straight at her and seemingly taking in efurry word she is saying, but we are thinking about more important stuff. Do any other cats do this - make excellent eye contact with the beans and with such understanding looks, so that they start telling you their life history?

We've had spring flowers blooming since February, if you can believe it!

Those are wonderful photos of the two of you, you look very attentive, even if you aren't interested in what's being said. ;)

We love the new header!

Those snowdrop flowers are pretty and very cute! We'll tell Mom to see if she can find them and plant them here.

Enjoy your April Fool's Day!

Those snowdrops are so pretty!

Moe, I just noticed that you have freckles INSIDE your mouth, too. That's very cool.

Hello Mindy and Moe. I can't believe I haven't visited you before. Moe is a fellow Gorgeous Ginger too.

At some time in the future mum's green fingers will produce some flowers and we have lots of birdies who come to visit our flowers too.

So it's not April Fool's Day when you got the sign of spring creeping in? Haha... By the way, that looks like some sort of Tulip plant with white flowers. I wonder if your Mom ever planted that earlier.

Hmmm... yawning when patrolling? Looked like your are feeling hungry after all the work Moe :P

Well Mindy, that's our duty to listen to beans nag about their life all way through. It's part of the psychological ways to release them from stress. Don't worry, you can hypnotize them to reward you some yummies after that... haha :P

Those are pretty flowers you have - we don't have many yet. I'll be happier when it gets warmer! You both did very well at looking attentive! I do that when my Lap Lady talks to me too!

This is such a fun April Fool's Day!

Maybe instead of trying to teach you about horticulture, she should teach you about birdies instead! I bet she'd have your full attention then ;-)
