Snow on Friday!

Mindy says:

Last Friday when we posted there was snow and our pretty snowdrops, out in the garden, got covered over.   Quickly, the snow melted and we saw the pretty flowers again.  However, here it is Friday once more  and .....you have guessed by now our pretty flowers are covered in snow!

I was hoping for some rays of sunshine to bask in today.  I even picked out a spot near the window for my nap.

Moe

There are always birds to watch and introoders to watch out for.

Cookie

  Nap time for me and with a snack beside me, I am quite content!

Finally Friday!

We are not complaining about our Friday!  

We have a lovely, sunny day.  It is cold outside, however we are inside so it doesn't matter.

We looked out of our window and saw these lovely flowers.

These are called snowdrops.  As a matter of fact, we are told that tomorrow we are getting some snow.  They are well named!!

 For today I will soak up as many of those rays of sunshine as I can possibly get.

Moe

 Good idea, Mindy.....look, I caught a ray of that sunshine!

Ah, we thought Cookie and Mike were going to say a few words - nope - they are very busy snoozing - maybe later they will say a few words.

Saturday With Team Tabby

Here we are in our usual places and positions for a winter Saturday in February.

  Mindy

 We have had some lovely winter days lately.  I watched the squirrels and birds at our feeder - a lot.   However, here I am taking a break and getting mom to do the typing on our blog.

 

 Moe

 I am upstairs on the sofa at the end of our hallway, it is sunny here and I can keep track of all that goes on.  Exhausting job you know.

Cookie

I have a fresh pink towel to snooze on.  I did not choose this colour, but it suits me well I think.    Night before last, our local hydro power plant had some sort of problem, a 'breaker' which broke - guess it wasn't supposed to do that.  We were in the dark and no heat from midnight until the sun came up. I slept through it all.

Mike

 I spent that night on 'our' bed with mombean and dadbean.  We all slept through the power out - didn't need electricity at night anyway, speaking for myself that is, I can get around in the dark.

It may be winter but we have a pretty plant that came from our local grocery store,  they don't have just groceries.  Lots of flowers (and cat treats, too) are to be found.

 Here it is, in a high spot, out of reaching by my paw and teeth.  No fun to be had with those purty (no teeth marks) blooms.

Our First Post in 2016

It has been quite a while since our last blog post.  We tried hard to fix our old computer, and at times, we almost (not quite) succeeded.  Therefore, now we have a new computer, operating system, software even a new mouse - it's not a 'real' mouse.

Everyone is well and happy, even the ones who are a bit crabby sometimes.  Got lots of snow right now.

This poor bush, loaded with snow, but hang in there because next week it is supposed to rain - we'll see.

Moe

Remember me, I am the orange guy.  I have put on a little winter weight.  It could be because I love to eat, and am very good at seeking treats - I did score some really good tidbit over Christmas.

 Mindy

 My favorite spot on a comfortable bed - it's mine you know, all mine, but I will share it.

Cookie

I have my own room!  I also am willing to share.   However, their are limits, especially to certain housemates that want to raid my food dishes.

Mike

 Speaking of special things, I have adopted that really comfortable office chair near the computer.  I need to put in my two cents worth, making sure today's blog gets posted.

It is near to Valentines Day so we got something kinda pretty to celebrate.

 It it not very tasty, in fact we are not allowed to taste it!

Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend - in fact our weekend is what as known as a L-O-N-G weekend, because Monday is "Family Day" and a holiday .... we think it should be Cat's Day, our humble suggestion.

Tuesday Countdown

Today is Tuesday and it is also December 1st.

We think we will start the countdown 'til Christmas at our house.

We are starting off in a delicious way, that is because we kitties think about food - a lot!

These are peppermint patties our mombean made.  We are not supposed to have anything chocolate, however, did you know these are filled with cream cheese!  Yes, we are serious.....we watched these being made up and saw that yummy creamy cheese.  Even better, there is leftover cheese in our fridge.

Moe says

yes, I am sitting right beside our fridge, and I am ready for my sample of cheese whenever the door opens.

Mindy says

You are not the only one who likes cheese....I am a big cheese fan.  I like to savor it and enjoy it.  I do not gobble like you do Moe,  do you ever take time to savor the flavor?

Mike says

Cheese!  Where?  I am a huge fan of cheese any style.  I am not picky.

Cookie says

  I can't see those treats but I am sure they look great.  Must have taken our Mombean a while to make them.   However, leftover cream cheese sounds yummy.

My eye is doing better, I am glad of that, but I sure don't like the meds that my humans squirt into it.  I am very good when they do this, so I think I deserve lots and lots of special treats.

How about you.... our visitors.....are there preparations started at your house to welcome the coming festivities?

Our fur cousin, Oscar, has been having great fun destroying ALL the lights on the Christmas tree over at his house.....well he is still young and silly.

 None of the lights on this tree work any more!

Calling all pirates!

 

 

 

It's the day to 'meow' like a pirate from our hideout on the wharf!

 

 

We are docked in a secret location and we have all the comforts of home, so join us pirate friends.  The greenhouse is loaded with premium 'nip and we have been fishing for da tuna.  The houseboat is our home away from home.
