Sunday with Drizzle

That is what our humans call the tiny bits of moisture that we had today.

That is okay with us.
We can use the time for some long naps.

Mike
There is not much activity out in our yard.
Oh well, I can practice sleeping positions in my favorite chair.....now that I think about it, all the padded chairs are my favorites.

Mindy
I am in my favorite chair.
Just my size, purrfect

 Mike
Still very humid and damp.  That makes me hungry.
I wonder what I can get into....I mean, I wonder what goodies I might "find" in the kitchen....on the counters.

Mindy
When I want a snack, I just bide my time and look really, really cute.
I have a small but persistent voice.

 fillet 'o fish
Ah, this is my idea of a tasty snack

Check out what it says on the sign.
Halfway to the North Pole.   That is, IF you wanted to go there, you would be halfway there.

Guess what, we are not going there.

PS the mastadon in the photo is not real because they are extinct.....so no worries..... and have a great day everyone!

Snowed Again!

Yes, you read that right!  We did get some snow, not much, but enough to cover the ground.

and the roof!

our yard, too - but it won't last long.

Mike
I have the office chair to snooze on - I'm supposed to supervising our blog post.

Moe
I have a chair as well. It is situated - downstairs - so that I can keep watch on all that goes on, especially what happens in the kitchen.

Cookie
I have snacks,  handy - in my nap spot.

Mindy
That leaves me to actually keep a watchful eye on things.

We are looking forward to the return of the sun and warmer weather, which we did have - just not today.

So, visitors, we want to know how 'your' day is going!
Let us know

Tabby Tuesday with Mike

Let me tell you about my day, so far.

I got up at the usual time. It was still dark outside.  However my tummy said that it was time for breakfast.

It is the most important meal of the day, therefore it was necessary to awaken by sleeping humans.  After all it WAS time for breakfast.

I did get my breakfast, and as an added benefit so did my fur buddies.....Moe, Mindy and Cookie.

That was hard work and I needed a quick snooze.

I found the perfect nap spot.

Ah, life is good!

Snoozin' Saturday

After all the excitement of Halloween on Thursday, we spent Friday seeking out the most comfortable spots in the house and catching up on our sleep.

Thursday, day of Halloween, was - well - indescribable!  First the weather that morning was quite cool and frosty, but otherwise nice.

This plant in our yard was edged with frost.

The day warmed up considerably, and by 5:00 pm we had a warm and very pleasant evening.  So lots of people started coming our door....60 at final count.  Did we ever mention that when someone knocks on our door, that is the signal to scram as far from it as possible!

Moe:
However, I was persuaded to come into the living room and to see our youngest neighbour all dressed for this occasion.  She is only a year old and having the best fun ever!
I like this little girl, she was handing ME a treat - our mom gave her some of my favorite and tasty snacks and she gave them to me.

A while later, a boy that our mombean used to babysit, came wearing his costume, accompanied by his mom and their dog, Sally.

Here is our dadbean giving Sally some attention.  Our humans had a dog like Sally long  before we came to live here.  His name was Ruff.

Finally, by 9:00 pm nobody was coming to the door anymore, thankfully.  At this point it had started to rain....and rain.  Then it got windy, and continued all day Friday.  Our power stayed on, but many in many places the power went off.

Today, there is some drizzle, but oh, it is so nice and quiet and we have been having a lovely snooze!

Tabby Tuesday

Does it look as if we are making good use of our cat tree?

Mike:  I am on the roof and I can see out of the window, which means I can check for introoders in our yard - if I keep my eyes open!

Cookie:  I will share my water dish with you Mike, but I get to drink from it first, it's my bowl.  Nice of me though isn't it?
Mike:  yea, yea, whatever...

Moe:  I am the chief Party Mix hunter
Here they are!!  Right where I know to find them.

Mindy:  Good for you Moe!
Of course, you know you need to share these Moe!

Are you able to get the bag open as well?
