"Oops I Ate It Award"

Thanks to our friends at The Kitty Krew we have been given the

"Oops I Ate It Award".

The rules for this award are:

"When accepting this award you must blog about the food you have stolen when your humans weren't watching. If you have never stolen any food, you must be a very good pup or kitty. You can accept this yummy tray of cookies as your reward!!! Next add the logo of this award to your blog (optional), then nominate at least 5 other furry blogs and let them know by leaving them a message on their blogs."

Well how did they know? We adore stealing food, especially the bean's foods. We sometimes break into our own container of crunchy food because Moe is an expert at pushing the container off of the counter at which point the cover usually comes off. Then we all dig in.

Mike is our resident scavenger. He once ate a frozen mushroom off the floor but that is not stolen food of course. However, packages of sliced bread must be kept in the cupboard and never left on the counter because he will rip these open and have a snack.

Moe is the one that prys open the upper cupboard searching for tasty bags of Temptations. He finds them too, and knocks them onto the floor. Yay.

We already blogged a few days ago about the banana bread that "some one of us" nibbled on.

Any of us will steal from an open bag of potato chips but,we guess by now, you know who the main culprits are!

We are passing on this award to:

Reese
The Island Cats
Jasmim
Derby
Roxy and Lucky
SeaThreePeeO

We don't have any caught "in the act" food stealing photos, ha, ha. However here are our Easy Sunday Photos.

Connections Lost

It's me, Moe, and I am writing our blog today.

I want to let you know that our furcousins Mickey, Georgia and Tillie have a broken computer and can't talk to any one right now....... See here is a picture of it.

I know, it doesn't look broken, but it certainly does not start up at all. It is completely silent and lifeless. Nobody did a thing to it, certainly not me or Mickey or Georgia or Tillie. All by itself it just quit.

The beans think maybe it's power supply died for some unaccountable reason. Unaccountable because a new supply of power was installed back in June......because the replaced one had also died prematurely! This kind of thing is way beyond our understanding.

Needless to say, my furcousins and our auntie are not very happy, but they wanted you all to know why they can't visit.

Our dadbean is going to have a look at the sick computer. I sure hope I can give you some good news about it soon.

In the meantime, hope everyone else is having good connectivity.

Thursday Already

Look at what sonbean brought home. Yup, 'nanners. If he didn't take them they woulda been thrown away. Yikes!

They are not very interesting to us, but what mom did with them is very interesting.

This we do like - banana bread. We have 4 of these so far and two more will be coming whenever mombean fires up da oven again.

Mike

I am supervising the banana bread construction. Yum.

Moe

Excuse the yawn, but making banana bread does not interest me at all.

Bono

Umm, wake me when da 'nanner bread is baked.

Cookie
What's up, Mindy?

What are you looking at?

Mindy - I am fuming!

Do you see who just entered our yard?

It's Angel from next door. Invading our yard - again.

This will not be tolerated!

Stormy Sunday

We had a hurricane visit us today. It was called 'Bill'. Well Bill gave us lots of rain and high winds. Thank goodness its wind speed dropped before it reached us and no major damage was done to us or to anyone else. We did not even lose our power. It is very warm and damp, mom says it feels 'tropical' here. Here is how we spent the day.

Mindy, relaxing

Mike, snoozing

Cookie, he was annoyed because when mom let him out on the deck it was raining and he had to come in again on account of his furs got wet.

Where are Moe and Bono?

There they are, along with some of the rest of our horde.

Our Rude Neighbour

This is Sisko. He lives next door to us. He is also very big.

Can you all see that he is sticking his tongue out at us? Is that not a rude thing to do?

Do you really think he deserves this treat?

Moe, Mike and Bono say "We didn't think so either".

Cookie says "We must protest"

Mindy says "Listen to the voice of reason....."

.....I think we should present Sisko with this 'Barn Brat Award'

What do you think?

On Thursday

......I made a blog post. Meaning me, Cookie.

See me here hard at work. No one else around here seemed inclined. Maybe that is because we are finally having some nice, hot, summer weather and everyone else in da house is outside or snoozing. I will do my best.....hummmm, now, how do I upload? Hope I do this right. Here are a few more photos.

Here's Mindy and Mike taking it easy -

I found Moe. Guess where?

Yup, in da kitchen. Notice he is on the counter? He will get in trouble.

I found Bono right behind him.

Bono is another food seeker. He loves a little splash of milk once in a while - like every time the fridge door opens.

This little buddy comes to our window feeder.

We find it to be tasty looking , I mean entertaining.

One more pic for today's post .....

Mom is so happy the deer didn't find her one Stargazer lily plant. It has six, count 'em, blooms this year. Life is good.

Have a good day everyone..... purrs from Cookie

By the Sea

A couple of weeks ago Mickey's mom came for a weekend visit. She is our Aunty because our mom is her sister. They decided to go for a late afternoon drive to Peggy's Cove. They took their cameras and got lots and lots of photos.
Mickey made a post about this. Click on his name to read about this.

Here are some photos our mombean took.

This is Mickey's mom in front of the famous lighthouse which has recently had a fresh coat of paint. Great backdrop for mombean's photo, we think.

This small cove is home to a working fishing village. Here is a photo of some of the fishing boats and gear.

Some creative soul that needed a break from work, put together this comfortable looking bench. We wouldn't mind curling up on that, and the view would be awesome too - all those fishies and gulls to watch.

Another creative soul with way too much time on his (or her) hands made a small hut out of lobster traps. It has a door, which seemed to be locked, and a tarpaulin roof.

More buoys. Buoys are placed in the water as markers. they mark where there is danger or where the fishing gear is. In this case they are hanging to dry - or - simply there for decoration!

One view of the cove

...another. This view shows that mom was walking up the hill towards the lighthouse, and took this one looking back.

Mombean got a picture of the water rushing over the huge rocks.

to show you all the immense size of the rocks, mombean included some other visitors in this shot to give the rocks some scale.

There were lots of people taking photos.

It started to get dark though, so mombean quickly took a picture of the giftshop and dining room with its lights aglow.

Well that's it for the tour.

from your #1 tour guide, Mindy

...and from your equally able tour guide, Moe

We love showing you some of our coast. We wanted to send you all a postcard, so mombean helped us make one for you. Enjoy.
