Tabby Tuesday

It's my turn to pose for to Tabby Tuesday. Mom put this pretty red towel on my chair so I can feel comfy and look good too. I like to look good!

A Treat for Mancat Monday

Dad is offering me a treat - I can almost reach it. I have a long reach and I am lightening fast. Dad says I need my nails trimmed, heh, heh.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Smelly - pungent or herbal


Catnip leaves are strong smelling if crushed. Some cats seem to experience a "high" and act a bit silly like Moe (orange tabby). Other cats like Mindy (white/grey tabby) are unaffected and simply eat it. The potted plants in the picture are catnip seedlings, of course.


















Smelly - foul (very)

Another plant, this one is a member of the mushroom/fungus family and is called a Stinkhorn. Found two of these growing in the lawn. Trust me you don't have to search for these, their disgusting odor makes their presence known. Need a good frost to get rid of them!

We can be Heroes

Tall Son and mom have been renting DVD's and watching HEROES. It's about beans with superpowers. We took up our usual posts nearby while they watched. It dawned on us that we have some of those unusual powers too. After all, we can see in the dark. We can appear out of nowhere, that's similar to walking thru walls. We can read bean minds and know exactly how our beans are feeling and if they need our company. That's like the heroes in da movie that read minds. We can teleport and visit our friends! The more we think about it, the more we are convinced that all of us cats can be heroes too!

5. we don't know about dogs, no experience

6. we don't like other cats in our yard

7. the vacuum doesn't bother us unless it gets close.

8. we love to lie next to the open, screened windows

9. our house has many secret spots, where no one can find us

10.we have mom on a schedule, now she knows our snack times pretty good

11. when our beans have been out, we always greet them at the door

12. we tolerate brushing

13. we hang out with our beans, even when they watch scary boring movies.

Wednesday Wonders

Do you "wonder" what I am doing? I really like mom. I trust her to keep me safe, look after me and give me scritchies and belly rubs. Nobody does these things as well as mom. This is mom's T-shirt. I want to rub my scent all over it because it is something that belongs to her and she is my favorite bean.








Team Tabby "wonders" if this rose will be the last one of the season, the nights grow cooler, now it is autumn. We hope that it will open for us and bring a little of the garden inside for us to enjoy.

Tabby Tuesday

This little tabby kitten belongs to mom and dad's college son. We call her Smallcat. She's still very young and very bad. She's got attitude and likes to bite and claw. Out comes the squirty bottle, so her behaviour has improved. She gots her nails trimmed the other day, so that helped too. She has lots of toys, a scratching post and a harness for going out. Smallcat came from a shelter and is very glad to have a home of her own.


This picture was taken yesterday in the garden that we keep watch over. Mom really loves the colour of these asters.



















This is the birdhouse we also keep watch over. Once a family of Chickadees lived in this house. The entrance looks a bit bigger, so maybe the squirrel family has taken it over.
