Saturday Photo Hunt - Humble

The theme for this Saturday Photo Hunt is 'humble'

Here is our entry -

This humble bird house has been set up in our backyard for over ten years.  At one time birds nested here, but perhaps so 'humble' an abode is not what they want anymore, as it has been many years since birds have nested in it.

We love to watch the birds from our window since are indoor cats and this becomes our bird 'TV'.

Moe and Mindy:

We have a not so humble abode.  Here is our new 'cat condo', our very own to cover with fur and a nice scratch post for clawing.  Our humans hope this will distract us from using the sofa in the living room as our claw sharpening place.  So far we are checking it out thoroughly.  I think our humans have scattered some kitty buzz (catnip) around to encourage us.  What do you think - will we use it? - time will tell!!

They also picked up these -

On the left is a grooming tool to keep us looking good especially right now because we tend to shed a lot of furs, especially Mindy!   The other one is a fake mouse.  Our humans pull the tail and the silly thing makes a buzzing noise, scoots around and then plays dead.  This is so boring, we pretend to like it.  Give us the real thing and we will go into action!!

Mindy says:

This is a 'tock' shot of Moe checking out the new cat tower.  Don't tell him I slipped in this photo of him, he might not be amused.

Hope evfurryone has a great weekend!!

Mommy thinks the tock shot is adorable, but she won't tell!

That bird house may be humble, but it's precious. The new cat condo is amazing!

We like the humble bird house. It just needs new humble birds! Oh, and the Furminator! We love ours. Not going to say anything about the 'tocks' shot. Okay, we liked that too! Purrs...

i like your humble bird house. I think they need to be cleaned out every year or so. Perhaps if you clean it in the spring you may get more nesting birds.

Your furry family is a lot like mine. We're humble but we have lots of nice things to keep up happy and healthy. Too bad you don't have any birds in the bird house. Birds do make for fun entertainment.

Wow, even the birds aren't satisfied with humble these days! I think the new cat tree is the LEAST you non-humble kitties deserve!

What a cool condo! We think you guys will use it. 'Specially if it's got some nip on it.

Thanks for visiting me. Is it Tocktober already? MOL! Love your new humble condo. I see you use your Smacky Claws of Destruction on the couch but those sisal things on your cat tree are the best.

That bird house looks humble but sturdy. Maybe some birds will like it again in the future!

As for the cats: wow, you do get a lot of comfort and care! ;b

Moe and Mindy, were you rescued cats? I used to volunteer as Cat Cafe in Singapore, rescuing feral cats and feeding them. Now I live in New Zealand and ddon't do this any more.

Thanks for your interest in the durian flowers. It appears only those on Borneo island eat them. a real delicacy because of the rarity, and the tediousness in processing them. A part of my childhood growing up in Borneo.
