We have a spot in our backyard that we call 'the bog'. There are a few iris planted there - not in bloom right now. Lots of fern and moss.
If you look at the water you may see the tree pollen floating on the surface. If you were to fall in you would get extremely muddy, as underneath the water is a quagmire of soil and decayed leaves. The frogs like this place.
Moe:
Have no fear, I will not venture out to the quaggy bog. I am way too comfortable, spending my Saturday viewing life from here.
Mindy:
Good point Moe, but I usually keep watching out the window for the pheasant. I often see him coming up from the direction of the bog. It's my entertainment for a lazy Saturday.

Mike:
What? There is a bog out there in our backyard? Should I be concerned? I think I will sleep on these questions.
All this being said, our visitors might like to go to The Saturday PhotoHunt to visit more participants.
Have a grand weekend!

Cookie, the bog holds no appeal?
Think frogs, water snakes, turtles, herons....There's *lots* that is appealing in a bog!
Note: So says our human; we've never seen a bog ourselves, but we think it would be fun to explore!
Cookie we think you are onto something! That indeed is not a place for kitties!
Those are great pictures of all of you and the photo at the top is stupendous.
Mom said we have a pond outside that will look kinds quaggy when the water gets low.Right now it appears to be full of peepers and we listen to them at night.
Otherwise, we are like you and enjoy being inside with Mom.

I wish WE had a bog out back - with FROGS! Sadly, there is not much chance of that happening out her in dry Southern California.
We weren't sure what quaggy is either...but that sure looks like it!
I struggled with this theme as well. Your pic looks as if there are a lot of great kitty hiding spots there!
I think, we have a very small place of "quaggy" in the garden too. Its a very, very small pond in a plastic tube which has a hole - so it looses most of its water. The rest of the water is very muddy and the cats have to be careful that they do not get stuck if they hold out for frogs :-).
