Thankful Thursday

We are very thankful for all of our treasured friends.  We are thankful for many, many other things too - there is quite a big list.  However,  today we are thankful to our friends in far away Taiwan.  Yesterday we received mail from Adan, Lego and Michico wishing us a Happy Chinese New Year.  It starts on the 23rd of this month, which isn't far away.

It is the Year of the Dragon, so Michico created a lovely painting!  Take a look - Adan is on the left and Lego on the right of the mighty painted dragon.  We love this beautiful painting and we are very happy to receive a copy of it on this postcard.

Michico is very talented!  If you didn't see their Wednesday post , Michico and her friend Malica created a lovely handmade figurine.  We are thinking Lego was one of the models for the painted kitties.

We hope the Dragon Year will bring us all luck, good health and happiness!

 

Mancat Monday

Moe says: In honor of Mancat Monday, may I present my handsome self.

It's been busy here on account of mombean painting the ceiling in the L-part of the living room.  I just get comfortable in an easy chair with the sun streaming through the window onto me......then the next time I go to get into that comfy chair, it's gone!!  I don't mean forever, but in a different place, and not where I can soak up some sunshine.   Things get moved around because of the painting.  I hates this changing things around business.  I was almost ready to hide the paint brushes, when, thankfully, it was done.  Yeah, I'm so happy -' order' has returned and 'chaos' is gone!

Special Wednesday!

It is our Auntie Bean's birthday today!! 

BonBon and Mike:  We send you purrs and headbutts!

Moe: I wish that your dreams come true!  (I hope my dreams come true, also, heh!)

Mindy:  I want to send you sunshine and roses!  I did get the sunshine part right, today it's beautiful!  I might need more help with the roses part.

Cookie:  I want to wish you the best birthday ever, and all that is good in the year ahead!

Mombean helped us make a birthday card for you, hope you like it!!

Tabby Tuesday

We're having a long winter's nap!

It has been an exhausting holiday season.  What a hard job it is to keep track of our 'beans' comings and goings - you have  to do this, or you might miss out on something good.    From where you see us - Bono and Mike - we can monitor the kitchen sounds and smells. We can usually get something yummy if we are being pesky in da kitchen and depending on who is there.

Our 'beans just got back from da grocery store and we checked all the bags.  Another exhausting job. 

Now, back to our naps.

Happiness

We had ourselves a great Christmas Day! Santypaws left treats for everyone.

Mike: I had so much fun unwrapping presents.

After that, our very favorite time, Christmas dinner with TURKEY!  This made all of us happy!

Mike:   Tallson gave me some scritchees.......I love having attention, in fact I would like to have ALL the attention!  This makes me happy.

Moe:  My version of happiness is having some turkey, then stretching out on the clothes dryer when it is running - it is SO warm!!

 

Bono:  While Moe is snoozing, I'm watching the washer drain.  I don't know why, but I find rushing water so much fun to watch - it makes me happy!

 

Our hope is that everyone had a happy Christmas and was able to share it with their loved ones.

Happy Birthday to TallSon

Our mombean and dadbean's younger son, the one we call TallSon has a birthday today!  He was born on the 21st, the Winter Solstice, 26 yrs. ago. 


Happy Birthday, TallSon!!   Even though you don't live here anymore, I -  Moe  - remembers when you encouraged mombean to adopt me exactly 10 years ago.  I was the first cat in the family.  Then my sisfur, Mindy, came to live here too.  We miss you, but we are glad you are happy and doing well.

Countdown - Fourth Week of Advent

Moe 

Our people seem to be busy all of the time lately.  It is hard for us to snoopervise when they won't stay in one place long enough for us to approve of all that happens.


Mombean seems to be making out lots of lists, then she loses them.  There is no hope with that.  We heard her on the phone  inviting a bunch of relatives to dinner on Friday.  Well anything involving food isn't such a bad idea.   We bet some of those extended family members are going to be over whelmed with our cuteness and give us lots a treats.  This could work out nicely.  I think I will sleep on this idea a bit more.

Friday Night

Our Christmas tree is up and we can relax.   Since this morning some wall paint got applied, it dried, and the tree got put up. 

Bono:  I am the Christmas tree inspector.   I watched from a comfortable place while things were happening!

Mindy:  I made sure our tree is nice and straight!

Then I rolled on the carpet, to view it from another angle.

Cookie:  Mindy, I am watching you.  That looks like fun, but I am too comfortable to get out of this chair

Moe:  I found a quiet place to hang out.  Now I can have a long nap.

Mike:  I can't find a quiet place Moe, can I share come of your space?

We have to be careful, see those frosty snowmen?  They are made of breakable glass. That is why they are placed away up high.  Dadbean made those eons ago. 

Another thing, our coldbox has more goodies like cream cheese......we will definitely have to help mombean with her Christmas baking.
