Team Tabby Takes a Break From Blog Hiatus

Friends, mombean and the five of us kitties have been extremely neglectful of our blog posting in the past, what? two months at least. Were you all aware that since the last time we posted it has rained? Almost every day. There was even rain today



We tried our best to keep mom crazy from GOING crazy. We needed to keep her busy while we napped so we suggested, since she was trapped indoors anyway, that she redecorate our living space. Therefore, almost all the upstairs rooms have been repainted. Guess what everyone? That is a LOT of snoopervising. We're exhausted!!

BonBon: I was in charge of one of the most important duties -

.... making sure our pot of precious catnip got watered by all that rain. Isn't it coming along nicely?

Mindy: I encouraged mombean to take rest breaks with me because

I love to have mombean scratch my belly


Moe: I am a mancat with a busy schedule, I have make sure that there are no introoders on the property

This is a busy job, because this critter keeps raiding the birdseed mom puts out.

anyone want me to transport it to your yard?

Mike: Could I have a little, care and attention?

You see, here's the situashun. I hadda go to that stabby place, anyone know that place? Da vet on duty stabbed me, oh yes, I do not lie. I am not trying to get sympathy, but it would really help if you could send me some.

Cookie: Pay no attention to Mike, he's fine. He's eating again - his own food and as much as he can scarf off of everyone else's food dishes.

Sometimes I get to go out on the deck and hang out wif mombean. I love fresh air and eating grass...mummm.

Here is a plant in our yard the hummingbirds really like.

Mombean calls it climbing honeysuckle and got the picture when we had about 15 minutes of sunshine! We sincerely hope everyone is enjoying a happy and restful weekend. Hugs and purrs to all.

PS - is anyone else having trouble saving and publishing?

Potted Plant Obsession

Mindy says: No, I am not obsessed, mom is over-reacting......probably the stress of shopping and planning for Easter this weekend. Well, I am here to assist.




Mom really sweated putting up our Easter decorations - these six glass 'chicken' egg cups with wax candle 'eggs'.





In the lower left, do you see a spot of bright yellow? That's our lovely, bright potted plant fresh from the store.





This plant needed some expert arranging.




Oh, did I mention that it was also very tasty ...um, lovely?



There, that should do it!!




I really think mom should buy these delicious attractive potted plants more often. I wonder why she doesn't?

Mancat Monday with Moe

It's Mancat Monday. Yeah!

Rest and Recovery

BonBon says: Usually I am a content and happy mancat. Yesterday mombean noticed that I did not want my breakfast and I always eat breakfast. Later I was trying to get comfortable on the sunny windowsill and mom thought I might be chilled, so she got out the heating pad for me.



That was so nice and warm and I slept all day. I feel so much better now.



By early evening, I was hungry enough to eat supper in my usual spot. I am happy and mom is happy!

Sew, Sew Day

Moe: Yesterday it rained. Mom figured it was a good day for her to catch up on some sewing. Her neighbor doesn't sew at all, and wanted mom to hem two pairs of slacks for her.



Black is a difficult color to sew with and having to use black thread on black fabric on a dark and rainy day is almost impossible. We tried to tell her that. Also we suggested that it would be more rewarding to spend her time with us. Well, once mombean got started she wanted to get it over and done with so she went to get dadbean's fluorescent magnifying light to actually see where she was sewing.



We were going to supervise this task, but thought we could make better use of this time by napping.



Mindy: I agree, in fact, I was quite annoyed. Now if she was going to make us some new cat mats, that would be wonderful.

Easy on Sunday

Mike's Chair

Mike: Look what I found!



Mombean told me not to get too comfortable on da chair. She wants to drag it to the curb on Monday. Huh, what's wrong wif it? Besides having no chair legs or wheels and the arm rests are tattered - who needs them anyway? I am lying on the back of the chair, where there's more room to stretch out = perfect chair placement position. So comfy. It's a keeper, don't you think?
