Eye to Eye

Moe says: This pesky guy has been annoying me for days. I'm just doing my job, keeping our home free of intruders. So, he's NOT getting in here! No matter how hard he tries - and he tries very hard. He jumps at the window all the time and chatters at me at the top of his voice. How rude.



Note from mombean: Yes, there is glass between them, don't know for how long though.

Is it Still Monday?

Um, think so. We are late, again. Of course, it's never our fault.

Mindy: Now if he would just walk by me one more time, I'm ready, and I'll whap him good this time.



Moe: Don't bother me, I'm unavailable, except in extreme emergencies. (hung over, from helping Mickey celebrate his birthday)


Bon Bon: This doesn't look very comfortable, but really, it is!


Mike: Even though I am usually Mr. Mouth, I have NO comment to make.



Cookie: ZZZZZZZZZ - yawn - zzzzz


Hope Monday is a good day for everyone!

Easy Like Sunday

It's Sunday again, the pace around here is sort of calming, no one rushing around - wait a minute, that doesn't mean our beans delay our breakfast!! Oh no, this can't happen, we must unite and stir this household into action.


Mike: are you listening Moe?


It is important that meals be on time and with generous portions, don't you think?


Bon Bon: That's it Mike! You've got the loudest voice, start complaining. Wake me up when breakfast is served.


Cookie: Breakfast sure starts Sunday off, just right.

or any day for that matter.

Mindy: Right after breakfast, I like to catch up on my beauty sleep.

Wouldn't it be awesome to have breakfast right here on the bed? Won't happen, but I can dream, right?

Mombean was outside last night taking pictures in the dark...




She actually managed to get a picture of this Luna moth. They usually fly high, up around the street light. This one came low enough for a photo.


Happy Fourth of July to our American furriends!

Frustrating Friday

There is absolutely NO WAY that I'm going to look at that camera!



That is final, forever.

Wednesday Utterings

That should be - mutterings! Our beans have gone away for a few days.



We'll be here, awaiting their return.

Mancat No Fun Day

Mike: I'm reporting the post today. Can you see that I'm a little crabilated? Okay, a LOT crabby.



Mombean's at fault. She gots a new flashy box and wants to push that thing in front of my face. Dat blinding flash is disturbing my sleep. Doesn't she realize that I have some serious napping to do? And I just managed to nab the bestest nap spot, too.



I can't keep my eyes open any longer.

Moe: Huh, that Mike is such a complainer. Not that I like da flashy box any better.



So, if it has to happen, here is my best side.

Bon Bon: There's a new flashy box? (Yawn) Whatever.




On the weekend, mombean and her sister (Mickey's mombean) hiked into a wilderness area. Beside a big lake they saw these beautiful butterflies. They were flying around beside the water. There was no one else around, so our beans enjoyed the sunshine, the butterflies and the big lake.




Later, they discovered that the butterflies are called Yellow Swallowtails.

Mancat Monday Fun

The little three year old bean that comes here on Mondays and Fridays decided to try and scare us and mombean too.



We were not fooled with that mask! We knew all along who was under there.

Then he asked mom for the bag of Temptations, yeah!



nom, nom, nom. We all got more than mombean gives us.




Moe: I let the little bean give me scritches, he loved that.

What's Cookin'

Mike: did I ever mention, by any chance, how much I love to eat?

Cookie Reports on Wednesday

Cookie: I got to be outside, yay!! Mom was happy because she managed to get a really good photo of me, too. The other cats don't go outside, just me, even if it's only for a very short time, it still counts. I don't go far, but once (maybe twice) when I didn't want to come in I climbed a tree and mombean had to bribe me with Temptations to go back inside. Life is fun!



Here's some things to be seen in our yard.

These are For-Get-Me-Nots, hard to forget these because they just grow all around the yard, mombean never has to plant their seed. They plant themselves!



And this is a Hosta. They are great for hiding under, ha, ha.



Our bird bath, which I find very entertaining!




Yep, this cool toy is in our yard too. It's not my toy though. It's not much fun because you can't bat it around, or eat it.



When mombean took another walk in the woods behind the ballfield (she does that lots) she got another photo of a woodland plant. It's a pink Ladyslipper.



And on another walk, in another part of the woods, she spied this green guy. He might be fun to try to catch, but I don't like jumping into the water.

Easy on Sunday

Moe: Did you know this is one of my favorite spots in da kitchen?



Bon Bon: I decided to look right at the camera today!



Mike: Is that a treat you has mombean? I'm always, always ready for a treat.




This beautiful woodland flower is called Painted Trillium. It grows in the forest near our house. Mom was very excited to get a picture of it. It is so rare to actually see one.
