Moe: Hey, Mike, you wanna move your sorry butt outta my spot?



Mike: Hate to break it to ya, Moe, but I was here first. An' guess what? I am NOT about to move just 'cause you want da spot and think it's yours.

Cookie: Look everyone, what I has to put up wiff !!

Here We Are on Thursday

Daylight is lasting until after 5:30pm now. Mombean thinks this makes the days "longer".

Going Bananas!

Look what Tall Son brought home.

There were more in the box, but mombean began to process them. That only means that she peeled, mashed, put them in freezer bags and into the freezer.


Our compost bucket was overflowing.

I, Mike, supervised the whole operation. Then I found a perfect-sized box to relax in.

I was bushed, supervising is such hard work!

Moe: I simply watched from the comfort of this box on top of the small fridge.


Mombean says she is going to make banana bread. Yum, I adore banana bread! I can hardly wait.

Cookie: Hummmmm......


I could probably choke down some of that.

Bon Bon:

I can't love banana bread, so I'll turn my face to the window and ignore everything.

Mindy: I love....

Farewell 2009

There are only a few hours left in the year 2009. For we kitties dis year has had some bright spots and some not so bright spots - just as everyone else does - but the five of us kitties are doing okay and that's what counts. Our 'beans are doing fine, too. We will probably cellybrate the closing of the 'old' year and the welcoming of da 'new' year by scarfing down some chicken. Mom cooked some up and promised to give us some. Yay!

Wednesday - at the Vet's

We've read the local news at the Cat Blogosphere today. It seems that Cookie is not the only one making a visit to da vet's office. Cookie has had to have more surgery dis morning on what's left of his tail. The vet called to say he will be ready to come home this evening.



Dear Cookie, we wish you did not have to have this done again, and so soon after. We hope you and all the other ailing members of the Cat Blogosphere have a speedy and comfortable recovery.

Monday, After Christmas

We hope everyone had a good Christmas and got spoiled lots. Our mombean got up early Christmas morning and put a stuffed turkey roll in the oven before going over to Mickey's house to say "Merry Christmas" to him, Georgia and Tillie. It takes about an hour to get there, but mom didn't mind because it was a beautiful clear day. Mickey's mombean was coming to our house because we invited her to dinner. She's in this picture behind the person walking by!



Who you CAN see, is Tall Son with Mike. Mike has to be in the middle of everything and doesn't want to miss anything.

Here is Mindy. She thought the green Christmas stocking looked very good with her furs. She applied quite a few furs on that sock.


Moe is keeping watch in the window and from the back of the other sofa he can see how the gift opening is coming along. He is waiting for someone to open his mega bag of Temptations.


Don't know if you knew that Bon Bon is a 'lap cat' or not. Here his is with the other sonbean demanding some scritches and some attention.


We had a lovely day on Christmas, just being together, sharing some delicious foods and opening some fun gifts.

Mombean took this silly picture with a new memory card she got for her camera. For once dat camera was not pointed at us!


We hope that everyone enjoyed a peaceful and joyous Christmas.

Monday and We Have Snow

It started snowing yesterday afternoon. By night, things looked like this

the lights looked so nice shining through the snow.

Mindy says: Today is a special day in our house. It's Tall Son's birthday.



Nearly eight years ago he was eager for Moe and I to join the family, and we did!

Moe says: We like you lots, Tall Son!!


We wish you a Happy Birthday today and our best wishes.

along with extra head butts and kisses. In this picture he is walking towards one of his favorite places to dine out, wonder if that is a hint.

Update at Team Tabby

One of us here recently had surgery at the vet's office. It was Cookie. He had a lump on him's tail. It was bothering him and starting to bleed. The vet told us it was fibrous sarcoma. Well dat's not good. He had to stay overnight and get tests and, yup, needles. When he got home he smelled funny to us and.....the big shock to all of us cats - he has no tail, da vet took it. Well mombean says it was for the best. He does seem happier and he has some awesome looking stitches, which have to come out soon.



Actually we think he's proud of those stitches. If a mancat has to do without his tail, then he can show how brave he is by showing off his stitches. He never even had to wear the Elizabethan collar to keep him from trying to take them out.



Mindy: I think Cookie is a very brave mancat and we are all glad he is feeling much better than he was.
