Furball Friday

We are all curling up in our beds wif da blankets over our noses. The temperature outside around here is -18C......burrrrrr!

Just before dark, sonbean went out into the yard and lit a sparkler. Maybe it was to cheer us up.....you know sort of a "fire and ice" shot.


Here it is close.

Bono Blogs on Tuesday

Bono here, or if you want to be formal "Bon Bon" and I am helping with our blog for today. It is very important to to get into the proper position for blogging. I like to snoopervise what is being typed into the computer, I need to see the screen and I like to be comfortable doing this. However, mom the typist, says that this is not always practical.



I do this quite often and sometimes do my own typing, which again is not all that practical. Those keyboard keys, give my toes a nice massage when I walk back and forth over them. Mom complains when I do this that I order the computer to open all kinds of applications and pages. Well deal with it mombean, cause I like to do this and it makes me happy!

Moe this time. Do you all want to know what I call an excellent day?


An excellent day for me is checking the food container and finding the top loose. Yipee, this makes my day - until mom finds out, even then it's still a good day.

Mindy: I am up in my loft. I have all the space and hide-y places I want. My domain.


Sometimes one of the boys comes up here. What really raises my furs is when either Moe or Bono, mostly Moe, takes my special bed by the attic window. The nerve. What should I do? Install a trip wire or a nail belt? Is that too devious?

She took this last night. Finally a full moon AND a clear night. Not so tonight. Another winter storm brewing, and 20 cm on its way.

Wacky Wednesday

The look in my eyes says it all. What a guy has to put up with from the silly beans, especially the sonbean.



















Of course, I must be well compensated. My price is - a tasty snack.



Food, food....delicious. When it comes to my tummy, I am easily bought!

Old Christmas Day

Mombean says January 6th is sometimes called 'Old Christmas Day'. This is confusing to us because we just celebrated Christmas and had a great time. She told us that there is a bit of history around the adoption of the Gregorian calendar . Huh? Mom do you realize that this is 'too much information'! What we really need to know is, do we get a snack before bedtime tonight? We you almost missed it last night.

Yep, you were so busy being angry at the vishus deer. Had to be deer. See all those tracks? Not our paw prints!



Mindy: We only eat indoor plants.

Yum!

Moe: I am sure the holly bush will grow more leaves.



Bono: since when did you take up horticulture, Moe?


Milo: Mindy refuses to be my buddy.


I feel sad and hurt. I want to be friends...really.

Here is a kitty we are fostering. A tuxie named Milo. Milo is very, very shy. Loves attention and doesn't hiss at the beans anymore.



It was a beautiful sunny day, yesterday, and it warmed up a lot.

These big metal monsters, keep the roads clear enough so our beans can go out to get us our food and treats. See the treat store in the background.


They are huge.




Mickey, Georgia & Tillie's mom is having a birthday today. Have a wonderful birthday Auntie Bean!!



Have a relaxing Sunday, everyone!

Happy New Year

This is how we are starting off 2009 - with a snowstorm! We all stayed put and relaxed at home. Mom went outside to get a picture during the last couple of hours in 2008.



Here is another picture taken New Year's Eve when our beans made a quick run to the gas station. Mom was trying to get a photo of the falling snow when another car drove along side and parked. She moved the camera then making this strange picture - you can't see the car, but you can see red streaks from it's lights and even the tracks it made in the snow.

Bono: This is taken out of our window, looking across our street. Umm, I think I am going to spend days when we have blizzards, like this.



Mom's wool sweater is so warm, I think I may keep it.

A Good Day

A good day for us means leftover turkey. We can't help it, we are in the kitchen a lot in case someone opens the coldbox. We always manage to keep the door open by sticking our furry heads in there and keep the door open as long as possible so we can get a fix on the location of the leftover turkey.

We are worried though. The amount of turkey is seriously shrinking. Before it disappears completely, we cats are getting together to stage a raid to turn up the cuteness factor and persuade the beans that we are capable of finishing off the rest. Good plan?

Bono:


I often get up on top of the coldbox. It's the best lookout place.

Mindy:What do you think?


I'll just pretend I don't want turkey.........the beans will automatically try to get me to eat some.

Moe:
Yikes that flashy box is bright! Can I open my eyes now?


Did someone say there is still some turkey left? Oh, boy, this IS a good day!

It is 5:15pm on Dec. 29 and mom is now taking pictures of the sky.


She saw the star and moon appear just after sundown. (you can click on the picture to get a better look at the tiny dots of light) It was a lovely, sunny winter day.
