Photo Hunt - Quirky

We are participating in this week's  Photo Hunt.   The theme is "quirky".  One of the definitions of quirky is: A sudden sharp turn or twist.

We looked all around our house, we had almost given up, but there had to be at least one quirky thing that we were missing.

Then we looked up - and there it was!  That oddball plant that hangs over the table that we like to nap on.

It is certainly twisty and quirky.  Its formal name is 'hindu rope hoya', sometimes it produces waxy clusters of pink flowers.  Oh, another name for it is 'wax plant'.

                                        *****

Moe:      that is probably more than you all wanted to know about this plant!  I am going back to my job, which is looking out of the windows just in case there is something exciting going on out there.

Mindy:     Yep, Moe, that is important, so I will keep watch out of this window.

Please don't tell our hu-mom, that I am on the table!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Fractious Friday

Mike:    Dang, I wasn't fast enough!!   Mombean says I have a way of looking for  trouble.  What, me?  I guess I should have dodged, instead of lunge.

None of the other cats have marks on them at all - it's always me.  Why?  Mombean says it is always me because I am the instigator.    I am not sure what that means, is it a compliment?

(PS mombean:  their claws are kept trimmed, but still sharp enough!)

April 1st - No Fooling!

Mindy says:

Yep, it is raining today - this is a true fact.   We really can't complain.  This is because our weekend was almost perfect!  Lots and lots of sunshine, and it was even warm.  That was good.

Not so good fact was - our human beans went away overnight on Friday to grandbean's home.  This kind of made our weekend less than perfect.  However, our 'beans have returned and all is back the way things should be!!

Now here's the 'no fooling' part - over at grandma's house are these wonderful flowers!  We do not have any of these, nor any of the honeybees that visit them.

Moe says:

Our yard needs to have some of theses awesome purple flowers, in fact next year we must have some.  Wouldn't you agree?

I am serious, I am not fooling!
